Safer is better

BLM:90 WHM:90 SMN:90 THF:90 WAR:90 DRK:90 RNG:90 PLD:90

Sir William Herschel is credited with discovering Uranus. In his journey through life as a musician and astronomer he created large telescopes and achieved world fame. But he traveled from Germany to England to escape the Seven Years War.

Here lies the heart of most disagreement between Democrats and Republicans. You can build a wall and make it high and keep everybody fed and industrious... but only if you are safe. In most schools you have classes that exist in relative quiet and then you have classes where the students in the back are mostly carrying on their own study session free of any particular subject. This is where the intellectual and the military cannot gel.

When you think of a medicine you think of things that are going to help you like chemicals and stuff let's call it glucose and sodium instead of sugar and salt and then let's put stuff in there that will further destroy whatever it is that is alive and eating the waste off your skin that makes that irritating itch. Now you grind it all together and then add water to make a mixture, but if you pour this on your skin, about 95% of it just runs off and is wasted, so you have to add a sticky substance to it to hold it together... to make a gel.

That is what it takes to run a government... you need a gel. A reason that both sides need to agree. Usually that involves Vietnam or Afghanistan and it's not too much to ask to hurt yourself a little bit to invoke the cooperation of both sides... even if they are as alike as sugar and salt. I was reminded recently of a vaccine which is sort of how prolotherapy works which my cousin recently suggested to me.

Now I am not for sacrifice anymore than I am for using one girl to get another but sometimes there are good reasons like for example a birthday and then another and another another other. Age makes you less sympathetic to axioms of old. When you are young you are excited to work with other people that instantly agree with you no matter what you are doing... even if you are doing it in Afghanistan. So it's important to note the some things are worth doing even if you don't know what your doing.

At the same time if we just send drones to kill our enemies, we don't even have to have our soldiers risk their lives and maybe people out there somewhere don't deserve our respect. That is the beginning of the end of civilization. Because as we divest ourselves from sacrifice, we judge ourselves superior. This happens in a marriage, as we find our mate not so exciting, we judge ourselves worthy of having a backup source of excitement. So it's our wife who will be the drone sent out to wage our wars at home so that we can find excitement with some other source of nanner nanner shuzbutt.

Fast forward to what the rest of the world thinks when their people die and none of ours do. What does a wife think when you have had glorious 3 times a week sex while she is waiting to do it once a month. Does it matter? Ahahahaha. How do you make a woman come? Who cares.

I don't believe that. It's just another tasteless joke that I heard in my life at the bar which by the way I am getting less and less proud of.

But it lends light to the fact that not caring is what is happening to war.

War is necessary but only because always there will be some imbecil out there that will say I'm tired of starving and in his last ditch effort for food, after we tell him no, he will butch himself up and come running at us.

Now this is important because that's what he SHOULD do. If there isn't enough food out there then MY food must be rationed. And people get sensitive about stuff when it comes to THEIR stuff. But if we can't agree that noone should starve then we really do have a bunch of morons out there.

Of course there are ways of abusing this charity like warlords who grab the supplies and exchange them for special favors which defeats the purpose of "charity". Or bureaucrats that use their position to take the charity money and buy supplies from "their" people which turns a profit which in effect is using non-profit money to make a profit. So first thing is to establish what the rule is gonna be.

Ok, back to war.

Again the extreme view is to not care and just nuke em. Quick fix. Give your wife the paycheck and tell her to save her hoo ha for Friday and start to control her with it's her fault she has her period on such and such and why is she so moody and if she is gonna argue you are just going to walk away. Well this is what government does when it wants to control our wars, it tells the "better" half that it's our own fault and that we don't deserve that money spent on the military and that the hotel bill is for a convention at work honey now where's my dinner!

First of all men have periods too. Didn't know that did ya. Well spend some years without sex like I have and you pretty much max out your sperm load in about a month I would say and about a week after that you will notice a not so subtle change in your behavior too.. perhaps bordering on infidelity or maybe just flat out anarchy. So get your fix and don't blame your spouse cuz being "only human" doesn't apply to just women.  "...of flesh and blood,I'm made." Yeah I know I like all the oldies. Remember Lara Croft's famous saying "everything comes in pairs."

So should we be more proud of Herschel than say a soldier that died. That is the big paradox or riddle. Here goes one of my famous riddles. Ok I might as well put two of em since I am thinking of another one too at this time. I'm not going to answer them so that you can think about the answer for a while and you may not be able to decide what it should be.

Two men are traveling on a sidewalk, one is walking, one is jogging. They come to the center and one of them has to get out of the way. Which one do you think has to get out of the way?

Another one is who should get more credit for his life, the guy who discovered Uranus or the guy who died following orders in the military. Ha ha. I won't answer that one.

Ok last one, should you vote?

You have 50 men on your side of a line and 50 monkeys on the other side and they are scaring the crap out of you. Now if you think to yourself that wow 50 smart men can take on monkeys easy so I will just hang back for a while maybe behind this tree and me BEING SO SMART I will avoid getting all bruised up and avoid being one of the casualties.

What just happened though is the the war is now 49 vs. 50.  Instead of maybe surviving, you guaranteed a loss.  When they got finished with the rest of his friends, the 3 or 4 monkeys left found you and made easy work of you whereas had you fought up front with you smartness, you might have avoided a couple of attacks and maybe killed 2 of them that are now alive and outnumbering you and proceeding to ask you what special skill you have that makes you so smart because maybe they don't have to cook you RIGHT away?

It's important to vote, if you wanna win. Selfishness is not just less people fighting, it's more mouths to feed. I am guilty perhaps of being a burden but you should count your blessings that at least I am not fighting for the other side. You start to dislike your wife long enough, you may find yourself paying for your wife and her new husband's house payment.

Count your blessings.

Now I am gonna leave you with one final thought about working together. We all have hands, two hands. If we were to build a great building of people helping each other, One person with two hands could hold one person with two feet. This structure would require the few people at the bottom to have great responsibility while the people at the top, say children would have little to none. Now if the people of great responsibility were to falter, all of the people that depended on them would fall but none of them next to that person would be affected.

That was the square model.

Or, think of cheerleaders who balance one person on two people.  If you chose to have a government by elected people instead of some few lifelongers that we are required to trust, then a great MANY people would have responsibilites like our government has, perhaps with the bottom members changing out at election time to put a new person there to bear the load.  The few up top don't have responsibility but because so many people are in charge and are being changed out at election time, this makes the structure more stable.  This is a superior but somewhat inefficient method because it implies a lack of trust in government doesn't it?  Well that's our government.

This was the triangle model.

Now imagine that you are able to balance TWO people on your hands. It's the exact opposite isn't it. A LOT more trust there isn't there? But the good news is that it is much more efficient but it requires a great many people to trust each other, let's call them the one percent. Now imagine that these few people at the bottom with a great many people above them stand next to each other but make room for all of the people above them, well then that makes a big huge sphere doesn't it? Like a sun sort of, like a big huge sun. It's funny when you think of the man at the top of the corporate ladder to be the one highest up but in fact he is the lowest down.

This is the upside-down triangle model.

This upside down triangle is a symbol of the devil.  This top man is the devil and the sun is hell. The one. There can be OBI-WAN.  To speak his name is to invoke all of his minions' attention. Impossible pressure piled on with impossible trust piled on with impossible heat. So what happens when just a little trust is lost, when one of the few falter or when someone, someone close to the center of the world loses his ability to hold on....

Implosion.

PS. So safer is better, yea?  Having responsibility is this, having money is this, having power is this, don't think of hell as evil because all life is fueled by the sun, think of hell as hard.  Evil would be to make someone falter, to wrong them.  There are good devils just like there are bad kings.   The structures depend on you, don't let someone else teach you.   Jesus came to earth to teach us that we have it within ourselves to know what is right and wrong, without the Bible or being told what the Bible means.

There is a spot in the movie TROY that Achilles gets his captive, Briseis, taken from him.  He has no quarrel with the soldiers serving the king but if the king is wronging him, he will have satisfaction.  Do what Achilles said... "DECIDE!"

And then remember that noone is alone, most especially anyone special.
