Look how far we've come

"Look how far we've come."
-- Oprah.

Think of a black person interviewing Tom Cruise and Jennifer Aniston and making two of the most productive people in entertainment get emotional on their show.   Yeah that's useful to society isn't it?

Hmmf. Maybe she should try and ask Obama to come on her show because I would LOVE to see the irresistable force (Oprah can't resist slamming someone's respect) meet the immovable object.

Yeah when I think of admirable black people, Oprah doesn't come to mind. Look how far YOU'VE come is more what people should be saying...

Let's see black people that give me peace, Micheal Jackson, Obama, Angela Bassett, Janet, my roommate in college Mitchell, Cornelius my grade school best friend. Yeah there's too many to mention but I don't count Oprah as someone that makes me think "oh good job freeing the black people. "

Omg, I was just watching Untamed Heart and Marisa Tomei said something SO FUNNY I thought I would share...

My life is like watching the Three Stooges in Spanish.

PS. Marisa Tomei is SO doable. Imagine me and her and a long afternoon of "how YOU doin!" OH, and I finished watching X-Files all the way through and MAN Gillian looks just like I feel after watching all that. I wonder if they meant to make the FBI look like an old boys club filled with superiors full of secrets and double identities?  It was sad that for all their bluster, Scully and Mulder couldn't get good people to follow them and that in the end their own defiance of the truth, that the FBI was fixed, that they were in love, that their business of solving a stew by pulling out a piece of onion, ALL OF THIS, made it seem like doing a good job or being a good person, even as FBI, was "unnaturally difficult".  But truth is at the end of any show there are always 2 or 3 truly laughable shows that make you wonder if the Washington Post has been bought or if they actually thought that story was newsworthy.  That's how it seemed towards the end of watching the Ally McBeal series.
