Going to Mars

BLM WHM SMN SCH THF RNG BRD MNK WAR DRK PLD > 99

I just read an article on some people that are all signed up and ready to go to Mars.  This much, AND they are willing to stay there for life.  The setup looks like a series of trailers all stuck together and in my view perhaps they should all PREPARE fo the journey by living together for a year in a set of trailers.

Now in my more lurid mind, I had a thought that all of them should just get sex right out of the way in some sort of orgy.  Fact is, eventually all of them are gonna want to do all of the others SO... just get all of that tension out of the way in the first week, and then wait for the inevitable sentiment to come up... what sentiment you ask?  The one that says, "GET ME OUT!"

WHAT THE HELL DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!

Now, on the issue of whether someone should go to Mars or not I say... perhaps.

But all of those people should remember to watch the movie Alien first.  You probably want to know what the movie has to do with real life, well, in the movie all of them eventually end up serving the company who funded them.  They end up worshiping money.  They all start to squabble over their "shares" and who should get the most shares.  They even begin to cause malfunctions on the ship as you can see in the lower decks with the steam getting in the way of communication.

But that isn't what is so important about people going to Mars and learning about aliens.  No.  The most important part of the movie comes when the little alien baby bursts through the guy named Cain's chest.  It's a good choice of names again right, Cain? Cain was the first betrayer in the Bible and likewise the whole movie centers around that turning point.  It's important also to note that the movie STARTS with a spotlight on Cain which is the basic point of the movie... betrayal.

Cain is the only person that is on to the purpose of the android's mission which is to get something, ANYTHING, at the expense of the crew's well-being.  So he decides to betray the only other person that knew about the mission, the captain.

Somewhere in this diatribe you probably want to know how this relates to people going to Mars yeah?  Well, if you watch the movie closely you can see that the Captain is in love with Ripley which is coincidentally the last survivor for some reason.  This is because the Captain turned into an alien, someone from another country, a murderous traitor; he did this once everyone found out that the mission put their life in danger, which became obvious after the Captain poisoned Cain, who probably blackmailed the Captain, or perhaps was like Ripley and could not be bought and was a threat to the mission, or maybe he was just a "Cain", who wanted more attention from his God.

So why do they have to watch the movie you ask?  What's the main point of the movie besides betrayal?

They need to watch Alien, they need to watch it over and over, until they realize that there was NO alien, in ALIEN.
