So today I decided to go to church. 

It's been a LONG while since I went but I was thankful for the opportunity.  I realize now that perhaps the place where it all began was back at my high school which was also a Baptist church.  They had singing and praying.  Perhaps the thing you take most for granted, before you LOSE it, is your sense of community.  

Often I find myself wondering what it means to be the person that I am.  Is there more to accomplish?  In the old days, when I had bunches of money being accumulated for that fateful down payment on a house (which never happened) I sort of lost what I was trying to achieve.  I wanted a family but I didn't want women to want me for my house or my money so I strived to appear less and less rich.  Soon after that, it seems that I accomplished my goal.  Always I felt that I was intimidating to people at the bar because I had plenty to draw from so I strived to spend less, wear less interesting outfits, forgo jewelry and watches and even drink pitchers of beer instead of splurging on shots and mixed drinks.  

But it doesn't matter.  Eventually people knew who I was despite what I was trying to portray and if there is a lesson in this message today is to just be yourself.  Maybe even go where you ought to go.  If you belong in church go to church, if you like secrets and excitement and provocation, go to the bar.  If you like being calmed down go to church and if you like being bumped and dared and "endangered", go to the bar.  

It makes no sense in a way since I always thought of the bar as someplace docile or like a watering hole on the Discovery channel where all animals eventually arrive at some point but the reality is perhaps MORE real than I would like to admit.  You aren't in a community so much as you are in public, perhaps.    

Find yourself, then find people like you.

So today I am  riding down the road and the radio introduces this "expert" that says that if our electrical grid is attacked by foreigners that we will lose. 

What a concept, right?  That an expert will claim that we are going to lose? 

It's like a doctor that is there to tell you that you will die.  What good are you?  Several things that binary teaches us is that everything is black or white.  If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.  If you are not getting enough sex from your wife, SHE is probably getting it from somewhere else... unless she just had a baby which is totally understandable... sort of... because hey she could still give you a hand job right, then you give her one perhaps?  

Ok so sidetracked, so be careful of "experts" that tell you that maybe your car should no longer be on the road or that your child can't learn or that we our outnumbered by the criminals(aka police).  If you aren't at least willing to put your ass on the line and say we are gonna win, then you are defeated in your mind and the only thing AT MOST that can happen is that everyone ELSE that doesn't think like you, carries you home to victory.  

Always in things I keep that mentality that if you tell a dog he is stupid, the next thing that happens is he starts bumping into walls and you all as owners start to get newfound benefit from watching your "stupid" dog.   Don't be like this.  Understand that we are all the same and that the most natural thing in life is to dominate.  Fight this.  Civility is something that takes work.  

PS: Keep in mind this also, that every time you give the doctors your OK to work on you, you give them the ok to TAKE from you.  So "with your ok" they can destroy parts of you, and then you have to keep coming back to them for help.  So what I am saying is be very sure that you need emergency help.  Most of the time, TIME heals you just fine.  

Time heals all wounds. 

Also get records.  They are your records after all and he is doing work on you, and you are PAYING HIM whether you believe it or not, so get your records and save them.  My father was told that hospital records from emergency rooms that are THREE DAYS OLD get thrown out.  

Is that careful?
