Windy is in first place

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 THF:70 WAR:56 RNG:34

It was a beautiful day in Windurst, while I was there getting my arrows put into a quiver. I bought a mess of Beetle Arrow and Horn Arrow stacks, and in return for a carnation, an NPC will put each of those stacks into a quiver that can then be stacked into 12. The NPC is in Windurst now because Windurst is in first place in the Conquest Ranking. She always travels with that band of entertainers that lands in the country that places first after every ranking.

If you will look closely at the PC to the left of me in the picture, it's a player that's fishing but that still has a question mark on it's head. Hmmm. The mithra also has Fishing gloves and boots when I checked her later. Sounds kinda fishy dudn't it?

I did some farming Monday since I needed to rebuy some used up arrows and upgrade some gear. I made the mistake though of putting the stuff for sale in the outlying towns' Auction Houses(AH). Those AHs always stiff me with the funds man. If you ever want to put stuff for sale at the AHs in question, make sure you only put equipment for sale cuz man selling the stuff I farmed, is taking forever. I sold stuff over the weekend with no prob in Jeuno so I have learned I guess. I tend to overprice stuff though cuz you often get away with overpricing in the town AHs but then comes this, and you're left hanging for a couple of days which sucks.

Last night I leveled my Ranger again from 32 to 34. It was really a great party with BLM BLM RNG WAR WHM COR. At one point, with the Empress Band on, I pulled in 486 exp for one bat. It was unreal. We just poured in the exp. Despite my experience with pulling though I managed to aggro a set of Wingrats near the doors that I SO loath pulling from. I died. I still got plenty of exp though overall and the party didn't wipe once. Due to the death though I used up the last of my Windurst Salad and had to party for a while without food. It was slower and we still got 200+ exp per mob even after the band wore off but I felt sort of embarassed. I wish I would have at least had some Goblin Pies on me.

I broke down and bought Squid Sushi today at 30k a stack. I almost bought 2 stacks but I can't cuz I know I want to level BLM next and don't want to get stuck with extra food that's expensive. I am so wanting to get my BLM to 72 so he can wear the Errant gear which I still have to buy for him but which I have just enough money for. However, I don't wanna change my focus cuz then I get stuck hauling around arrows while I am leveling BLM.

I also bought the Nomad's Mantle. I had to spend 80k for it. There is no other cape that gives +AGI until the Commander's Cape at 73. It seemed to be a waste of gil though cuz with Sushi my RAcc is already covered and all I would be doing is practically making myself look good, but I did it anyway.

I also upgraded to the Shadow Bow shortbow. That thing has +8 Ranged Accuracy and +2 AGI so my troubles with missing during my weaponskill(ws) are over. The only prob is perhaps a lack of overall power that would come normal to a RNG using a longbow or a gun, but nah, I still see the mob turn my way if I overdo the strikes so I don't think I have gimped him with that shortbow. The Assasin's Bow, which I just stopped using, is of a similar brand. It has +3 RAcc and +2 AGI. It does far less dmg than the longbow but I don't care. Missing during a skillchain(sc) is just unforgivable imo. I would rather help the BLM do his job better than do better overall dmg as an individual. I still remember one time calling out a sc to a RNG using Dulling Arrow and he said it was crap. Well I just learned that it lowers INT. Hah! Could there be a better weaponskill?!

Tonight I plan to do an Assault Mission with Uchipu. I probably will take my THF/WAR but I wonder and would like to take THF/RNG but I dunno. I think I should save the specialty job combo for events that I am more familiar with. I tried taking BLM/SMN to an avatar run one time and found myself needing Sneak. Every time you take a BLM to a special event like Avatar runs, or NMs or some such, you end up curing. Usually because a real WHM is usually not a part of the party and if he is he has no backup. I will stick to regular combos for now. When I got my staging points with Fernanda and Inverno, we were like a perfect trio for aggro cuz with Inverno tanking(73 PLD) and miss Fe(73 THF) dealing dmg, all I had to do was Cure and Regen and throw in a couple of Fire IIs once in a while and we were out of harm's way in a jiffy. That wouldn't have worked out so nice though if I had subbed /SMN.

I saw Shanisasha and Skibum and Ema and Mith and Daft and Phantoma and Rewusrup and the whole lot working on besieged last night and talking. I would have gone but I was afk doing other stuff(playing Dreamfall) hoping my beastcoins would sell from my Bazaar. I was hoping stuff would sell from the AH too but THAT didn't happen either!

Cornnholio wants to get a Dynamis group together and it sounds intriguiing but if it's anything like camping the last Sky NM we did, I will have to find something else to do on my other TV while we do that, lol.

And now a look back

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70 RNG:32

A picture of Emagyen's rear end. No, stop that. I was just noticing that she had a nice set of pants is all and that's why I took this pic. :P It's funny but when I took this picture we were all four of us getting along pretty great. This is a picture taken in the Outer Horatoto Ruins, I think. Here's hopin.

I spent time farming to get enough gil to buy a lot of arrows. I also spent a lot of time getting my Wonder Mitts and Wonder Clomps to up my STR and HP. I like quivers. Quivers save me time from having to go back to town to get more arrows. The downside though is that the macro that I created to automatically equip a new stack of arrows does not work with quivers. I have to "use" a quiver to get it to become normal so that I can equip it. That takes time.

Goblin Smithys are tough. And what they drop is crap. If they dropped something like a stackable Goblin Mask or something, I would farm the crap out of them, cuz I hate em. I used to make a trip to Kazham every so often just to kick some Smithy butt every once in a while, well now I am going to have to renew that devotion.

I died 3 times yesterday due to Gobs. The first time was admittedly my fault. I was about to pull a Goblin Pathfinder because we were getting very low exp due to this buggard 33rd level guy that wouldn't leave, so I pulled the Goblin's Bee. Well I must have been distracted or annoyed or something because I pulled the Bee right in front of a Yhoater Wasp. What was I thinking? Well then I died. Later, I was about to pull another Mandy and a Goblin Butcher does a 180 and turns to aggro me and then I pull it to camp and the WAR is slow to voke it so I die. Later on I try to beat this guy back to Kazham so that I could bring my WHM back to camp to raise our WHM and I go the wrong way, use up my Camouflage and, due to no Prism Powder I catch aggro and die from a Smithy. For like 3 months I carried Powders and never used them and today, this.

I have decided to use the Assassin's Bow. It is a shortbow designed for RNG only. I was using a Power Bow +1 longbow, and that gave a pretty mean whack at the mob at a time. The longbow has a long delay which probably means that I would save on arrows if I switched, but no. I need the accuracy. Since I have to sub /WAR, I don't get the benefit of dual wielding Archer's Knives like I would if I sub /NIN. Archer's Knives give +10 Ranged Accuracy so 2 of them is excellent, but it's only available if you can dual wield. Due to this lack of Ranged Accuracy I am doubting that I will ever use guns or crossbows. The Shortbow gives a bonus to AGI and to Ranged Acc. and I am going to need it since I have to decided to forego the Noct Gaiters and Gauntlets in exchange for +5 STR of the RSE gear. Using Squid Sushi, which I plan to start using soon, should fill in the rest of the need I have for Ranged Accuracy. For now, the Windurst Salad, which ups AGI +5, is doing the job just fine. I think I may stop using Goblin Pies altogether but I don't know yet.

Since I have made it to level 32, I can now get out of Yhoater Jungle. I expect to party in Garlaige Citadel the next time I get together with some people to party and I am expecting big things from my pointy arrows against the bats. I know exactly where all those pop spots are for the bats in there.

Teleporting for gil

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70 RNG:29

I don't often find myself doing teleports but today I was in Jeuno asking to get a Teleport-Holla for 2k so that I could go off to Ordelle's Caves and work on getting my RSE gear for my Ranger. I want to get the Wonder Mitts and the Wonder Clomps.

I didn't get a teleport.

After about 5 minutes of trying I decided to start doing teleports myself. Why? Because, there may not be enough white mages out there to get everyone's teleport request, or there may be a few mages that haven't had enough competition on tele's recently.

So I started to do teleports. It's sort of unfair when I get on cuz I am a very fast typist so I usually get the first teleport request. Other people get to do teleports if there are other requests going on while I am serving my customer. This is fair I think cuz if there was only one person doing tele's successfully, noone would ever be doing them cuz after 10min of losing tele's a person would just quit.

Well I guess I pissed someone off cuz there was this one guy that would keep shouting for a tele, I would send him an invite, and he would just set there, and then send another shout for a tele. He did this a total of 5 times before I "publicly" added him to my BList. He was Rank 10 too.

That made me think that maybe me hogging all the tele's was not altogether welcomed by the Shiva populace. So I quit doin tele's. I sent my shout to go to Teleport-Holla and offered them the normal fee of 2k for that one. 3k for the premium teleports is what I usually go for.

I made it to Ordelle's Caves but before I got there I noticed that the price of Chocobo was 1600. See, as a white mage doing tele's, I am gonna start checking the price of chocos. If the price of chocos is 1k or more then it will cost 2k for basic tele. If it's under then I will go for the 1k.

Anyways, the good news is that I got my Wonder Mitts and now I gotta go back for my Wonder Clomps. I hope I have enough information to get that done.

Looking forward and up

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70 RNG:29

Things are looking up for my old BLM. He is about to hit level 72 at which point he will be getting the Errant Gear handed to him and will no longer strut around town in his Silk Pants and Black Cotehardie. Still, I will look like teh uber BLM then, as I should considering the level I am... plus I can still wear the hat. I gotta have that hat, lol. Black Cloak? Pfft. Not without my HAT!

I sent PM to Emagyen and Uchipu today. I gotta say that I really don't enjoy talking about people privately. it is necessary I understand as a leader to have as much information as possible, but it is part of why I am where I am. (aka, at the bottom actually but nm that) I know that many people have been having a lot of conversations not on ls chat but we need to have our arguments and get over whatever is bugging us out in public so that we all can think about the situation and help if we can. Everyone in the ls loves everybody else so if two people don't like each other then the rest of the shell has to hear it out. Give it your worst and then just get past it. An ex-girlfriend was so cruel to her ex-husband. She would just let him knock and knock on the door for like a half an hour but she would not answer the door once she made up her mind. She made the comment "ride it out" which meant to just get over it.

At the core of every controversy is going to be the usual... Uber player makes snide comment, mature under-uber player is going to start to irritate uber player. Uber player makes insult and then doesn't understand why he is getting treated like crap from his linkshell mates. People never see themselves as wrong when they lash out at someone.

Ugh, I hate talking about management crap. It really bugs me.

I have to start farming and am going to try to get my THF out to various concentrations of animals farming. I don't want to waste a lot of time farming so I will try to do items that sell quickly for OK gil. After I get 200k I can upgrade my RNG and party with him. At that point though, I need to start thinking about my BLM and how he needs to have his Errant gear bought which also runs about 200k total.

I am thinking about BCNM A Worm's Turn. Hmmm. That would ease the load off quite a bit.

Selbina days are gone

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70 RNG:29

Things are looking up for the old RNG. He is level 29 and is only a few days away from being maxed out. My goal with him is to get him to level 40 so that he can do the BCNM as a RNG. It's so expensive to have to buy all new gear for him. Unlike with SMN where I just used my already existing Seer's Gear to equip him, for RNG I had to buy all new gear. I have been running out of arrows and getting a new quiver of em, since I don't wanna run out, comes to like 40k for 12 stacks. That's a lot of farming believe it or not.

More importantly, I hate to miss. Using Goblin Pies is cheap but I miss a whole lot. Using Windurst Salad is even better because it gives +6 AGI instead of only +3 AGI. The Windurst Salad however last for 3 hours I think. The only problem comes when I come across a link or a prob and then I die and I waste the food. I consider that a party failure. If the party fails then they have to put up with me missing more and using only Goblin Pies. Goblin Pies are sold by and NPC for 600 I think whereas the Salads I have found at the AH for 4k. I think they are sold in Windy but I haven't made it out there recently. The upcoming real cost though is in Squid Sushi. Squid Sushi gives +6 AGI and ups your Ranged Accuracy at +15%. I know that Squid Sushi is what I should be using but that runs a cool 30k a stack.

More costs coming up include: Great Bow +1 50k, Noct Doublet +1 150k, Archer Knife 40k, and I want to finally do the Wonder Clomps and Wonder Mitts quests for RSE gear so my Taru will be maxing out with +5 STR and HP.

It's a lot to prepare for but, if I do it, I probably won't be stopping at 36 I think.

Actually, as soon as I hit 35 I think am going to try to party with THF/RNG. I tried farming Bat wings with THF/RNG and really enjoyed using the RNG weaponskills available to me.

Sidewinder rules, even though my RNG can't use it yet, lol.

Watch out for Titan's 2HR

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

I spent some time yesterday in the Quicksand Caves and got my Whisper of Earth or whatever from my Titan fight. I learned a lot more about partying with Daftorious and Hottoty and Dealba and Crashious in that they like to play pranks on each other. I will have to watch how far I trust them in the future. The main two pranksters are Daftorious and Hottoty. Hmmm. Be very suspicious of people that say they LOVE you, over the internet.

Well the fight to kill Titan went off without a hitch. I finally got Daftorious to try to his Tachi:Enpi > Tachi:Enpi to Distortion combo with Freeze and... it got resisted. I don't mean just resisted, I mean I think he pointed to his tooth and told me "here, throw tha spell right here!" I MB'd for like 60. That's just disgusting. Well after that I was just out of MP and useless.

Memo to me, no Ancient Magic on avatars.

My RNG is finally able to go fight in Qufim Island and he was raring to go last night. As usual, I pulled and we did a good job of raking in exp only as long as we had enough healing going on. The whole group was level 20 though and we went to the pond in Qufim Island and there we targeted worms. The Snippers there were all IT and one of em we killed for like 200 exp which tells me that we really have a good group. After hitting 21, we were thinking of moving over to the entrance to Delkfutt Tower but it got late and we just called it a night. I kept telling them not to roam at night but we tempted fate one too many times and we fought a worm right at about 7 or 8pm and the Banshees came over and whacked the hell out of the first guy that got reduced to yellow. It was my fault sort of cuz I targeted one worm that seemed easy to kill off in time and then another popped up near the group and that worm aggroed a pt member so that kept us up past the cutoff time and then we paid for it.

I need to go down there sometime and kill off banshees just for fun with my NPC. ^^

Action in the dunes

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

People were very pleased to have me pulling for them. Since I have done this already for like 70 levels and since pulling with a RNG is so much easier, I practically took the rest time away from them until the end of the chain. I made an effort to always end the chain with a VT or better. What I really had a problem with is that we ran out of mobs. I had to really plan and then REALLY hike for a while to get out to the remaining mobs of choice sometimes.

No problem though. At least it's fun and I am playing a job that I KNOW will be useful for my THF as a sub. I can't wait to test it out. More importantly, I think I will level him to 40 and then do A Worm's Turn as a RNG. Getting RNGs for the BCNM 40 is much harder to find than say a BLM and actually, if I can help it, I will prob only use 1 BLM when I get a group together. Of course there is no telling how many I will be able to get together.

Good news is I now have 35 seals! Yes! I know better than to waste them on A Royal Jelly BCNM 40 too cuz the last time I got like 60k for the battle, if that.

My little trooper

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

My little Hohito was such a trooper. I am glad to be out of the leader hat thing. I almost wrote up a long e-mail speech to Uchipu to explain my actions and the goings on while she was away but nah, it will be alright if I just let things go back to the way it was.

I love my WAR hohito too, it's too bad I can't party with him very often. It's too bad I'm broke, heh heh. I gotta go back online with my RNG and I prob won't party with anyone else until he makes it out of the dunes.

I'm glad I switched from the crossbow to the bow though. I was getting ok dmg from the crossbow but I was missing WAY too much. The Hunter's Longbow was a big step up. Now I really get the hits on mobs, but I still have trouble hitting [Incredibly Tough] mobs. Luckily I am able to just stand there and whack away at VT mobs and then go bring another VT mob right away without a break and usually without the WHM minding too much. It's incredible how much more able a RNG is as a puller than a THF. I am still trying to get used to using Wide Scan. It really is a very neat ability. I haven't figured out some of the features on it but I will. I feel so bad standing there looking at the map while people are trashing the mob, lol.

I finally did get to party with Plumpy and Papakuma and coincidentally Papa is leveling THF so I get to help him with all the questions he has on THF. It's surprising how much Plumpy already knows about exping. She knows about making exp chains, about using Cure 1s to maximize MP efficiency, about sending a message when she is low on MP. Still, I can't say her job is complicated at all at level 14.

I wonder if Plumpy and Papa are out tonight. ^^

Time to party!

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

Well thankfully Uchipu is back and all is well in the linkshell. Mith and Ema are back also and have been given their pearl sacks back again. Hopefully our days of stress are over. With that said I am glad cuz that means I don't have to carry the weight of enforcing our rules in the linkshell. I spent all day yesterday just sitting there with my screen off so that I could check the chat log at the end of the day. What a waste of time.

Now I gotta decide if I am gonna level RNG some more or if I want to level my BLM. My main worry is that I don't have enough money for arrows and for some of the cool RNG stuffs. Hmmm.

Uchipu has said that she does not want anyone removed from the linkshell and with that said I am glad because we are gonna have a lot more peace and quiet around here now that she is back.

Now I can turn my computer off and not worry about who's saying what to whom etc. I think one day I may have to start up my own linkshell. If that's true, this experience has certainly taught me something about leadership and about how difficult it would be to enforce rules.

Party? What's a party?

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

Well I hadn't seen hide nor hair of Rikadyn for at least 6mos and yesterday he walks into the linkshell and calls everyone a %$#@. I won't repeat his words. I would have kicked him right then and there if I didn't have so much respect for his friend Ravox. It's amazing how these people pair up. Same goes for Skibum and Shanisasha I guess. If it wasn't for Shani I don't think Skibum would be here now. But that's the nature of people and I will afford them some space. I know that because they are new, they need to throw their weight around so that they aren't surprised later so I will give them that chance. Takenotaru is surprisingly unwise one minute and suddenly knows a whole lot more than he let on. He likes to make requests of people and it is annoying to the point I put my finger on the boot button But then Horizon agreed to help him and Kramer stood up for him and explained how someone without a Tele-Vahzl crystal gets 8 HQ staves,,, he sold his Osode. (Excuse me but WHAT?) But alas, after Rikadyn came on turns out they happen to know each other from Eternal Knights. And it turns out that linkshell was FULL of gilbuyers as one of them so pointed out. /em starts to itch.

So after me and Rikadyn had a long discussion on the nature of good and evil and how power corrupts etc, which co-incidentally ended on the subject of Hitler, (jeez), they started to have a long-winded conversation about good times in EK(aka braggin). Garybaker ws in that linkshell too. They knew Ema from EK too and started to give their opinions in general blah blah blah I don't care.

Sometimes you gotta take care of your own. That means if you know me then you're good. If you don't know me then you will get to know me if you spend time in the linkshell. This is the goal. We want people who will commit themselves to our linkshell. We need them to like each other and that can only happen if you talk to each other often. This is what I like about Daftorious and Taria and Shanisasha most. They are always on, always willing to help and represent the best part of our linkshell. I hesitate to ignore their wishes or their concerns because I like them so much. Durnik and Cornnholio and Kirbyprime and Fernanda are SO much like them that I must bow to their wishes as well if they ask. They are like shining little examples of Uchipu. They are just positively positive. heh. I will save them all from having to mess with ill-begotten crass people. >:o

I don't know how we got such good people as our sackholders but I think it had a lot to do with Uchipu and who she was. Plus since we didn't have a big huge group, it was for the right reasons that we joined her--To build and not to destroy.

After enough people attain high level status and are willing to take a risk with their friends, only then are we able to take on some of the endgame challenges with a true desire to win and a concomitant aversion to loss. All focused together on beating the challenge and NOT each other.

Uchipu is of course the uber-helper. We all need to have her example back.

News from the weird

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

This is a picture of me with my old friend Magicstar. It's worth noting that it is very possible to enjoy the game without a linkshell. In fact, it's likely to improve your ability to make good friends. He has lost his character then got it back and is using another character now but at the time of this picture me and him were the perfect skillchain partners. We also didn't get many invites as a DRG and a THF. But I would start up parties and then we would be at it again.

Last night, I got disconnected. The stupid phone filter thing overheated from using it all day and suddenly I couldn't get on the internet. It affected my main computer too so my slave stopped working. OH well I'm back online today and at least now I know how to fix that. I was not able to pt with Plumpy like I thought but hopefully I can make up for it later today.

In other news, no pearls got popped today so that's good news. I haven't seen hair nor hide of Takenotaru lately and he certainly hasn't been irritating people like he used to so I guess he can stay. Skibum who was throwing out comments this way and that is a lot better now and hardly has nary a comment to say about things except that he wants to help. As a matter of fact the chase to kill the mammets last night went on and they succeeded in killing them so I thought that was truly an accomplishment. Insidous has been using the B-word lately a lot. Perhaps he knows some fatherless children, perhaps not... And I can't forget Javex who was sarcastically saying that since his feelings were hurt he should probably leave the linkshell. I asked him about it, then he said , Nahhh. ...

Anyways, I hope we get our people back, Mith and Ema and Uchi because I get the feeling that soon I am gonna need more people on my side.

People have been asking me if we can have new people join the linkshell but I have said no to that until Uchipu is back. I don't think our goal was ever to be a very large linkshell. I think it was to be a productive one. Well that whole productive thing went to the hills after this latest situation. We don't need more people to add more chaos.

Am I more a WHM or BLM? Hmmm.

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

Finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Uchipu has told her sister that she will come back when her levels get high enough and that means that we have perhaps 1-2 weeks before Uchipu will come back to us. Yipee!

I am working hard on my Ranger because I want to use it as a sub for THF and make him an excellent puller, esp for the SKY events we might be doing in the future. But mostly I wanna be there to give Plumpy any advice she might need. She is very inquisitive and I know she will have a lot of questions. Also, I don't want her to have to wait for a party or to end up in a bad party. She is at level 10 WHM now and I am at level 8 so I gotta get cracking.

I expect Mith and Ema might be coming back as well since I know how they think but I want to make sure I have the place ready for them. I don't want a hint of BS in the linkshell this time. I got 3 people on my pop-list and even though I don't believe in banishment, I DO believe in causing an inconvenience, namely by people having to meet up with a sackholder. Muhahaha.

With Uchipu back I would never overstep my authority but I guess it's up to me to make these people rue the day that she ever left.

Hohito gets told

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

This is when me and Uchipu both got our BLM hats, like a lifetime ago.

Emagyen and Mithrandel have left the linkshell.

Well the rain just keeps pouring and pouring. I didn't like the fact that they overstepped their power. BUT CRAP THAT DOESN'T MEAN I WANTED THEM TO LEAVE!

It's like your girlfriend wanted you to kick some ass but you were not wanting to be cruel but then she leaves you. Boy, that's when you feel like a left nut! Now it's time to go find that dipstick and pound him into the ground just on principle.

I am stuck in that please come back to me mood and can't fix myself. Just late last week I was laughing with Mith and Ema in the linkshell and looking forward to Uchipu logging in so that I could do an Assault Mission with her, and now here I am, stuck. I want to say SCREW YOU GMs! Fix the GAME! Give me MY DROP! But this is no game, not this part.

This is the part where I get told goodbye.

Just call me, Dave

BLM:70 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

I spent all day today thinking about the linksell and I have decided to let bygones be bygones. I love my linkshell mates and I am gonna try to help them as much as I can. Not all of them mind you, only the good ones.

From now on if I get upset at someone in the ls I am gonna tell Emagyen to banish em. Hell if you can't beat em, join em.

Which reminds me I have something I need to do.

Take out

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

Bah! I'm bored. It's 3am and I gotta work but all I can think about is how our linkshell is spiraling the drain. So here is a description of the key players. What happened was that Ema irritated Skibum and then a series of events led to Uchipu quitting the game. That's not very surprising since they BOTH irritate me a lot sometimes. But that's looking at the horse from behind. Did I mention that they both sometimes act like a horse's behind? Anywho, the fruit of putting up with their "schisms" is that they are VERY knowledgeable and VERY driven players in the game. If they start talking about something you need to know, the words OMG fall out of your mouth without you meaning to say it. They could each lead a ls of noobs and those noobs would one day put King Behemoth on his royal hiney.

The issue: Ema irritates Ski, Ski insults Ema, Mith boots Ski, Shani leaves ls
Uchipu says goodbye. Pretty simple really but here's my take on these guys.

Uchi was already smarting from some huge forum dissertation that I never got to read probably relating to Marleau and Hiei (who also got booted) and then we pull this "I am the leader" move on her. It's no wonder she feels she can't control us when the simplest of rules--Uchipu is god in this linkshell--can't be followed.

Emagyen : Hot pants , no not Uchipu, Ema is hot pants! Doesn't sugar coat

Mithrandel : Goes nuts for his wife (who wouldn't), norm helps others

Skibum : New guy, has boatloads of seals, has probably been to the Artic, prolly is there

Shanisasha : Spanish chic, nuff sed, don't do stupid stuff around her or she will notice,

Hohito : Has a big mouth that usually he keeps shut until times like these

Uchipu wins

BLM:71 WHM:54 SMN:36 WAR:56 THF:70

Well the linkshell is a mess. Can someone say "Where's my ban stick?" If the old saying that goes "Power corrupts" holds true, then power corrupts kids much more easily.

If you have a nice new +5 Flaming 2-handed Sword of Abyssal Banishment, do you let your kids play with it?

Anyway, I will keep writing in my blog and doing crap solo I guess, if Uchipu leaves. I am not in this linkshell for anyone but her anyway.

Sad part is Marleau started it's downfall. I knew right from the start that Ema was not going to get along with Marleau. Now the thrill of popping pearls is cracklng like Rice Krispies over there.

What can be done? Ema needs to apologize to Ski. Duh. Ski needs to apologize to Mith and say "Stop! I apologize for calling your wife a bloated warthog, heh heh, and I bid you good day. - Connor Macloud" .

I will log back in on Monday. I hope the linkshell is still existent at that point or I will have to have a long talk with Uchipu.

Finally! A reason to have a long talk with Uchipu. ^^

Latest meanderings

BLM:70 WHM:54 SMN:35 WAR:56 THF:70

I got some help from Durnik and Mithrandel and Nomadic getting my Thief's Testimony. We also helped Javex get his DRG's Testimony in Monastic Cavern. I gotta say that this will prob just have to wait for a while cuz I have low funds and I really wanna go overkill on the meds this time.

I have been in Cape Terrigan for so long that I knew exactly where the Goblin Bandits were and there weren't many of them. I actually tried stealing the testimonies and then using Hide when I failed. This meant that I didn't have to have a lot of Bandits around and could keep recycling the attempts over and over again on the same Bandit.

This didn't work so well with the group though cuz we killed the two near the outpost just like that and then we had to go hunting for more Bandits in a very dangerous area. Not fun. We kept getting aggro from crabs or from raptors and though we didn't wipe, we had a LOT of downtime cuz we had to keep re-casting Sneak and Invisible. ( luckily I subbed WHM).

It was weird though cuz in the end I had a Thief's Testimony but I don't remember when I stole it or when it dropped. The other guys would have caught it if it dropped and I KNOW I didn't have it when we started. Strange.

I am so wanting to just drop this stuff and level RNG but I got no cash and can't afford to spend on arrows like I would like. /pout I could sell off the Millionaire's Desk again but nah. I wanna just get used to having it and start farming again.

Surprisingly, the break I took last week has done me some good. I am reading the forums and typing my blog more and liking everybody again. For a while there I was waking up logging in and hoping for pt without really doing the stuff that makes you feel comfortable in the game like keeping up with forum info and reading Uchipu's latest.

Mith just updated in the forum a link to a GM blog that I find hilarious. He calls himself customer service but this guy is too cool for customer service (um maybe not too cool since he loses his temper a lot, lol). I added him to my Links bar.

Thief Testimony

BLM:70 WHM:54 SMN:35 WAR:56 THF:70

I have tried Maat three times now. I am so frustrated that I even took the linkshell off while I get this done. The last time I went out to try to get a Thief's Testimony, I died three times from really stupid stuff like aggro while I was afk. Don't the SE gods know when I have to use the toilet?!!

The last time I went out it took me all afternoon and it was close to 8pm and still no Testimony. After losing close to 10k in exp, I still don't have my Test and don't think I will get it anytime soon. I stole from at least 30 bandits the last time and it didn't drop. I have to believe there is someone out there not letting it drop.

[Taking a break.]
